Games I'm excited about:

• Gears of War (The game that could sell the Xbox 360; check out the new GameInformer magazine for a cover story)
  
• Quake 4 (All that is old is new again)
  
• Killzone 2 (The game that could sell the PS3; gameplay trailer is stunning)
  
• Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows (Online co-op hack-n-slash)
  
• Ni-Oh (Stylish; violent; Samurai)
  
• The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Next-gen dungeon crawling)
  
• Black ("The bullets are the heroes")
  
• Perfect Dark Zero (Microsoft's game-they're-keeping-from-any-sort-of-appropriate-display)
  
• Ultimate Spider-Man
  
• (I'm a fanboy, and this thing looks stylish as hell)
  
• Batman Begins (Ditto)
  
• Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
  
• Serious Sam II (Seriously, check out the video)
  
• The Darkness (Starbreeze? Top Cow? Suh-weet.)
  
• Dead or Alive 4 (Face it, Team Ninja loves gamers)
  
• Final Fantasy XI (About ... Freakin' ... Time!)
  
• Lost Odyssey (Japanese RPG on Xbox 360)
  

Games that look weak:

Games in which I've lost interest:

• Starcraft: Ghost (frankly, it's been too long, and Aeon Flux'll probably still beat it to market)
  
• Advent Rising (Dunno, maybe it can live up the hype; Orson Scott Card is pretty amazing)
  
• Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 (Maybe third time's the charm)
  
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare (Give up already)
  
• Painkiller (Played it online on the PC -- what're you gonna give me?)
